SUNDAY ON THE FARM

Sunday on the farm was my favorite the first time and this time was even better!

The day starts in Chapel----Jeff, Gina, Robin and Jimmy sang a doowop song for us that

they sang in the dentist office on Saturday.

Jimmy preached and I promise there was not a dry eye in the place.

He ended with People would rather see a sermon than hear one....what

kind of sermon are they seeing when they see you???Our hearts were

prepared for the day.

We had eggs for breakfast and toast--the juevos here are different in taste

and are left out of the frig....Leslie was the second one to be sick---Laura had

a bug when we left T'ville.....

Then the food was cooked ----a huge soup like mixture of corn meal that resembled

grits that the people here love.

While that was going on several of us took a long walk to town to pass out tickets for

lunch and the feeding of the children. We passed out over 150 tickets and saw some sights

that you would not believe. But the children here just want some hope and to be loved on.

Scarla and her friend Elye grabbed my hands and Will Coopers and would not let go for the duration. Steve Devane has adopted a little girl named Maria Jose. They are precious!

Word is out in Nic that David Cone is the futbol man. He had someone ask for him by name as

we walked so that he couldget a soccer ball.

About noon the line at the gate was as far as you could see...then the gate opened and we had as many as you could count. Beautiful children of all ages with their little bowls waiting for their

one meal of the day......Before we could start though the children that live at the farm

entertained us and one of the interpreters played the guitar----Open the eyes of my heart....

was never so beautiful..the children thanked us and gave us gifts..Again not a dry eye in the place.

This time we also did a medical clinic---so after they got food a 130 that needed to be seen

were seen by the medical team---288 prescriptions filled by the pharmacy and

Robin's team pulled about 25 teeth.

After a short break we drove to Amos' church for a worship service---Gary preached

and their were 7 saved---Praise the Lord!!!

They truly know how to worship--uninhibited pure worship--Rick caught the boys--William,

Jeff Brinson, David , Will, Steve and Clark all "moving the mountain"

What a day----God is so good!
