The Clinic at the garbage dump

Tuesday we got up at 5am for a 6:30 chapel....what a awesome start to our day of
service. John Pike spoke from Acts 3:3 and then he and Laura demonstrated a true
servants heart by washing our feet. Again not a dry eye......How awesome!

The dump is not very far from Sheo. But it is miles away in lifestyle. The people were again lined up for us. Jimmy Clanton, David, William, Skip, Frank and Jeff Willis all preached during the day. Over 100 decisions were made for Christ--praise God!

We saw over 300 patients and Robin's team again could have worked non stop from now on---praise God that Robin and Gina were willing to come and help these people! What a blessing they have been to us and to the Nic people.

The WMU is so awesome---thank you so much for the clothes that you sent with us.
There were two little boys that were so proud of their shorts. they put them on and that
is all they had. The shoes and dresses and goody bags go so fast!!! These were the neediest of the neediest.

You would not believe the sights we saw. We were literally in the dump---full of all kinds of trash and burning non stop. There were lots of flies but God provided for us---with tarps for shade and a great breeze! It was better than being inside! The houses we saw were
like the worst ever---one was no more than a tent! Each family had lots of children.

the most unbelievable sight was that of the dump truck pulling down the road and the children
whistling to others and then the kids mobbing the truck as it emptied the "trash" into the dump sight. They would go through each bag looking for a treasure.....I thank God that by his
grace I am blessed beyond compare. It is a sight that I will never forget in my life.

As I sit here in the internet cafe in the city of Masatepe I still have trouble believing the sights that we saw today.

Hello friends. I am so touched by your notes and photos. I just wish I were there with you because I know that I am missing a blessing. Please know that we continue to pray for you and are so proud of the work that you are doing there. Tell Devy hello from her Sunday School class. We can't wait to hear all about it.
